Core 300S-P vs Core 300-P

This is the choice most people are actually making. The cleaning numbers are close. The Core 300-P has a CADR of 143 smoke, 153 dust and 167 pollen, so neither one moves meaningfully more air. What the 300S-P adds is:

• A particle sensor, so auto mode can raise the fan when air quality drops
• App control and scheduling through VeSync
• Voice control through Alexa or Google
• A quieter floor, at 22 dB compared with 24 dB on the 300-P

The 300-P costs about $81. So you're paying roughly $70 for the sensor and smart features. If you'd set a fan speed and leave it there anyway, the 300-P is the better deal. If you want it to react when you start cooking, or you want to turn it on from bed, the 300S-P earns the difference.

Filters

It takes the same filter size as the Core 300. Levoit also sells three optional versions: Toxin Absorber, Smoke Remover and Pet Allergy. Noise

Who should skip it
