Why the Core 300S for cooking smells

Two filters in one. The HEPA filter catches the fine oil particles that get launched into the air during frying. The activated carbon filter absorbs the volatile compounds (the smell). You need both. A HEPA-only purifier catches particles but doesn't touch odour. A carbon-only setup handles smell but not the grease mist.

CADR of 240 m3/h. Covers up to 100 m2. That's enough for a typical open-plan kitchen-living room in a UK house.

Where to put it

Smart features

WiFi, app control, works with Alexa. You could set up a routine that triggers the purifier to boost mode when you say "Alexa, I'm cooking." Or just leave it on auto and let the air quality sensor handle it.

Alternatives

If you just need kitchen ventilation rather than room-level purification, a carbon cooker hood filter replacement or an upgraded extractor fan is cheaper and addresses the source. The air purifier is for when the source is already handled but the smell still spreads.
