Panther Armor double-sided cat scratch sheets - the 10-pack with 26,000 ratings
Panther Armor's double-sided sheets are one of the best-known cat scratch furniture protectors on Amazon. The 10-pack costs about $20 and has a 4.2-star average from roughly 26,600 ratings.
What you get
Ten pre-cut clear sheets: five XL at 16 x 12 in and five large at 17 x 10 in. Both sides are sticky. One side holds the sheet to the couch, and the side facing out is what the cat touches. Cats dislike tacky surfaces under their paws, so most stop going for that spot after a few tries. Each sheet has a peel tab, which makes it easier to get off later.
Pre-cut sheets suit the most common situation: a cat that targets one or two spots, usually the front corners of the arms. You don't need scissors or a measuring tape. For covering a whole panel, a roll is better value. Our cat scratch tape guide compares both.
Fabrics it suits
Panther Armor says the sheets work best on cotton, linen and polyester upholstery, and are not suitable for leather, velvet or microfiber. Test a small hidden spot first anyway. Adhesive behaves differently on different weaves.
Who it's for
- Fabric couch owners whose cat has picked a favorite spot
- Anyone who wants to train a cat off a spot and then remove the tape
- Door frames and chair legs where a small sheet is enough
Who should skip it
Leather and faux leather owners. Also anyone expecting it to last forever: double-sided sheets collect hair and dust and lose their tack over time. You replace them as they go dull, which is how this type of product works.
Use it with a scratching post
Tape alone tends to move the scratching a few feet to the left. Put a sturdy post or sisal mat right against the taped spot. Our how to stop cats scratching furniture guide walks through the full approach.
Alternatives
If your cat tears through tape, the Stelucca Amazing Shields are 1.2mm vinyl sheets with twist pins. For a whole couch panel, the TOOSOFt clear roll covers more for the money. See all our picks in the best cat scratch protectors roundup.
