Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Ergo Neck Pillow - extra-firm contour support with a 5-year warranty
The TEMPUR-Ergo Neck Pillow is Tempur-Pedic's contoured pillow for side and back sleepers. The medium profile costs about $97 and has 4.0 stars from about 8,000 Amazon reviews.
What it is
A single formed piece of TEMPUR material in an extra-firm feel, shaped to follow the curve of your neck and shoulders. The medium profile measures 20 x 12.5 x 4 inches. Tempur-Pedic also sells small and large profiles. Pick based on your build and position: smaller frames and back sleepers usually suit lower profiles, while broad-shouldered side sleepers need more height.
The cover is 100% polyester knit, hypoallergenic, removable and machine washable. The pillow is CertiPUR-US certified, designed and assembled in the USA, and has a 5-year limited warranty.
The firmness question
This pillow is firm. Tempur-Pedic calls it extra firm, and buyers agree. That's the point: it holds its shape all night, so your neck doesn't sink. It's also why the rating is a 4.0 instead of higher. People expecting a soft memory foam pillow are often surprised. Give it a week or two to adjust.
Solid TEMPUR foam also runs warm. If you sleep hot, keep it in a bamboo or cotton percale pillowcase.
Who it's for
- Side and back sleepers who want firm, consistent neck support
- People who've had cheap contour pillows go soft and want something that lasts
- Anyone who values a long warranty
Who should skip it
Stomach sleepers, combination sleepers, and anyone who likes a soft pillow. Hot sleepers may find it too warm. If your neck pain is severe, recent, or comes with numbness or tingling, see a doctor rather than relying on a pillow.
