Manrose MF100T inline fan with timer - budget post-cooking ventilation

The cheapest way to keep air moving after you finish cooking. The MF100T has an overrun timer: you switch it off, it keeps running for a set period (adjustable, typically 15-20 minutes) and then shuts down on its own. That 15-20 minutes of post-cooking extraction is when it matters most.

Why the timer matters

Cooking particle levels peak in the hour after you finish, not during. Most people switch the extractor off when they plate up. Fifteen minutes of continued extraction clears a large chunk of the residual particles that would otherwise settle on surfaces and cause lingering smell.

Our extractor fan troubleshooting guide explains why this is such a common problem and how to diagnose whether your current setup is the issue.

Specs

100mm inline fit. Mounts in the ducting run, not on the wall. IPX4 rated. Adjustable overrun timer. Simple pull-cord or wired switch operation. No app, no WiFi, no frills. It moves air and keeps moving it after you switch off.

Who it's for

Kitchens with existing ducting but an underpowered or timer-less fan. Bathrooms too, though this page is about cooking smells. If you want something more sophisticated with continuous low-speed running, the Vent-Axia Lo-Carbon Revive does that but costs nearly twice as much.

Before you buy this

Check your cooker hood's carbon filter first. If you've got a recirculating hood with a saturated filter, a £5 filter swap might solve the problem without adding a new fan. Our main cooking smells guide walks through the full diagnosis in order.
