HG Odour Eliminator | Neutralises Bad Smells on All Surfaces | 500ml

HG is a Dutch cleaning brand that's been around since the 1960s. This is their enzymatic odour spray, and it works on the same principle as Zero Odour but costs less. If you've never tried an enzymatic spray for cooking smells, this is the cheaper way to find out if the approach works for your kitchen.

What it does

Enzymes break down the organic compounds deposited on surfaces during cooking. Fats, proteins, carbohydrates, the stuff that keeps off-gassing and making the room smell two hours after dinner. Spray it on hard surfaces (hob, worktops, splashback) and fabric (cushion covers, curtains near the kitchen). Leave it a minute, wipe down hard surfaces. Fabric dries on its own.

When to use it
