SGL dark oak snooker scoreboard - simple wall-mounted scorer
The SGL dark oak scoreboard is about as basic as they come. Two-player, wall-mounted, dark oak stain, brass-effect sliding markers on rails. 420 x 130mm. It's the one you see in half the home snooker rooms in the country because it's cheap and it works.
What you get
Two rows of numbers (0-20 or 0-147 depending on the version), brass-coloured sliders on metal rails, and mounting hooks on the back. That's it. No frame counter, no break counter, no electronics. You slide the markers along to track each player's score.
The dark oak finish looks decent on a wall next to a table. It won't fool anyone into thinking it's from a snooker club, but it's fine for a spare room or garage setup. Our wooden snooker scoreboard guide compares the different wood finishes available if you're matching to a specific room.
Mounting
Two hooks on the back. You put two screws in the wall and hang it. Takes about five minutes. Most people mount it at eye level near the table so both players can see it mid-frame. Our wall-mounted snooker scoreboard article has placement tips.
Is it accurate enough?
It's manual. You move the sliders yourself. So it's exactly as accurate as you are. If you want something that does the counting for you, our electronic snooker scoreboard guide covers the digital options, though they cost significantly more.
Who it's for
Anyone setting up a home snooker table who wants a scoreboard on the wall without spending much. It does the job. The sliders work and the numbers are readable from across a room. If you're kitting out a games room on a budget, our snooker scoreboard for home guide has a few options at different price points.
